6 Beauty Tips to Look Your Best for the holidays!
Thursday, November 23, 2017
Tis the season for family parties, get togethers with friends, and holiday celebrations at work. So while there are plenty of times that you may overeat and not get enough sleep, you might be looking for a few ways to stay looking your best over the holiday season. So here are some tips to help you look and feel your best over the holidays.
Exfoliate Your Skin
The winter can dry your skin out. If your skin has been dried out a lot, then it could be full of dead skin cells that could be clogging up your pores. This can lead to blemishes and generally dull looking skin. So in order to reduce this, exfoliating is a great way to go.
Make a Change
It can be a fun time to make a change to your appearance at this time of year. From getting some tape in hair extensions to choosing a temporary hair dye color, why not make a change this holiday season? You could get a piercing you’ve always wanted, to simply try a new eyeshadow palette that you have been wanting to try for a while; it is all good.
Light Up Your Eyes
Many light nights can leave you feeling a little tired and looking a little worse for wear. But being able to brighten up your eyes can instantly make you look refreshed. Use your eyeshadow to create a glamorous look. White eyeliner can make your eyes pop, as well as a lighter colour in the corner of your eyes. Remember to always apply mascara from the base of your lashes to make them really pop.
Avoid Salt
If you don’t want to feel bloated over the festive season, then avoiding too much salt is a good idea. If you have a big party, then at least the day before should be a salt-free say. It can leave you with a bloated feeling, as well as on your stomach, which won’t be ideal if you have the perfect outfit that you want to fit into.
Keep Active
With extra parties comes extra calories. So although it can be tempting to stay in when it is cold and dark, getting out and about and exercising is a great way to keep the extra calories at bay. You can enjoy the holiday season and not feel lethargic or like you have overindulged.
Wash Hair Regularly
Beautiful hair takes time to care for, which includes regular washing. Different hair types will have different needs, so learn what works best for you. The key is to wash and rinse your hair thoroughly each time that you do. A hydrating conditioner can make a massive difference, especially if you are using heat to dry and straighten your hair.
Do you have many plans for over the holidays this year? How do you stay looking and feeling your best at this time of year? Would love to hear what you think and learn what makes a difference for you too.
