It’s the place where she gets herself ready to face the world. Today we’re going to look at ways to make your bedroom your perfect sanctuary, while also making it a dressing room to die for! All you need to complete the transformation is a few additions. Here are some things that no changing room can do without! 

GOOD LIGHTING

Bedrooms often have dim lighting, making them perfect for cozy nights in. If you’re going to be getting ready here, though, you may want to reconsider. We all know that bright, harsh lights are best for getting ready. You want to be able to see every contour of your face, so you can get your makeup and look just right. But how does this work for when you want to relax? You could consider harsher lighting around your mirror. You can use this when you need to, and turn it off when you’re relaxing. Or, you could get a dimmer switch installed. That way, you can set the light to the level of brightness that suits your current needs. 

WARDROBE SPACE

No changing room is complete without a good assortment of clothes! Making sure you have enough wardrobe furniture is essential. You can make your clothes a real feature by having an open wardrobe or incorporating some rails. Whatever you choose, make sure your clothes are accessible. When you’re getting ready, you won’t want to rummage through piles of clothes. If you have to throw clothes around every morning, it’s going to be hard to keep your bedroom tidy. A messy room isn’t good for anybody. You’ll avoid the space if you know clothes are cluttering it. Keep things organized and utilize the space. Don’t let things get out of control!

DRESSING TABLE AND MIRROR

Make sure you invest in a good dressing table and mirror, so you can sit and do your makeup in comfort. A dressing table will also allow you to keep your makeup collection in one place. Again, this will make your life easier when it comes to getting ready. Place your mirror somewhere that gives you the best lighting to get ready by. Having the light behind you will make getting ready hard. Make sure you can see your face clearly. It’s also worth investing in a hand held mirror. That way, you can ensure you get those finishing touches perfect. Most handheld mirrors come with a magnified side, which is great for making sure you look fabulous! While we’re talking about mirrors, it’s worth getting a body length mirror in your room if you have space. You won’t be able to get the perfect outfit when you can’t see what the whole picture looks like. Seeing yourself in a full-length mirror will allow you to decide whether an outfit works or not!
