4.5 / 5 Stars

A vegan lifestyle can transform not only the lives of farm animals but also the environment and one’s personal health. Well I love my seafood so much therefore I can't be a vegan, but couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of eating at the Peacefood Cafe in Union Square, NYC. It was my first time in there, recommended by my foodie friend who love vegan food.

Peacefood cafe is named after the simple idea that peace begins on our plate. Two vegans founded Peacefood cafe in 2009 on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Eric, an antiques dealer, and Peter, an interior designer, believe the awareness of non-violence can be spread through feeding people with delicious vegan food. After much consideration, they decided to change careers and focus on sharing the joys of the vegan experience with everyone.

I didn't get to try this, next time I am going for the Bangkok tea!
Falling in love with vegan dumpling.

Snap shoots! With Marco and Victor

Yummy homemade " Crab-cakes " Delicious!

Vegan green curry with brown rice - A little disappointed with the curry spice level, it wasn't as spicy as I expected. It was just mild.
Chili and the avocado was absolutely amazing, great taste and fulfilling.

My very first vegan sushi, can't say how much I enjoyed eating this!

Peanut butter cake - the boys favorite, definitely not mine

Overall experience, I loved it! Peacefood makes it a very inviting place to relax, the romantic and cozy interior decoration and Eric Yu, the owner is almost always there to greet you with a smile. If he’s not around, he’s out making sure there’s an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables for the chefs to prepare their fabulous creations. Next time I will drag all my meat lover friends tag along with me when I come back
