California is definitely somewhere people are headed to this summer. After all, it’s full of stunning coastal cities which are perfect for topping up your tan and partying the night away. However, a lot of people are left unsure of where to visit when they want to head down to the Orange County. There are so many beautiful beaches which are perfect for a long weekend. Therefore, here are three stunning beach cities you should visit in California.

Huntington Beach

One city which should be on your radar this summer is Huntington Beach. The beautiful city sees 11 million visitors every year flocking to enjoy a spot of sunbathing. And with gorgeous weather, you are bound to top up your tan. There are plenty of activities for youngsters to oldies who are looking for some fun in the sun. For starters, there is a great marina and wildlife preserves. And for adventure seekers, you can try a bit of surfing while you are at the beach. After all, Huntington Beach is known as Surf City due to its surfing opportunities! For something more serene, there are plenty of parks, and you can even do some riding while staying in the city. Just make sure you hunt down a hotel which is in the heart of the action if you are going to head to Huntington Beach.



Another coastal city which would be ideal for a long weekend away with your friends would be Newport Beach. The city has several beautiful beaches including the Wedge and Corona del Mar State Beach which are ideal for soaking up some rays or even doing some surfing. There is also a large boat harbor, which has two piers for you to wander around. One even benefit from an amusement park! You may know about Laguna Beach due to the MTV series, which was on our screens back in the early 2000’s. But there is a lot more to the coastal city than was shown in the series. The beautiful Main Beach is often a top attraction for tourists making a visit to the area. After all, it features a beautiful boardwalk and is perfect for a spot of sunbathing. You can also try your hand at surfing if you go to the Beach Park. And as well as being perfect for beaches, there is a lot of culture to the area. You will find art galleries aplenty which is worth a visit with your friends. And if you get a chance, you should go to the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Not only does it offer fantastic views, but it’s great for trekking this summer.
